Smitten with Old Navy
Old Navy’s comfortable, casual, adorable, and affordable fashion finds have me thoroughly impressed and inspired for Spring! In this post, I share my favorite picks from their Spring collection in addition to the pieces I chose for this look. I’m also talking about my new day planner and why I love it so much!
Brace yourself, I am borderline inappropriately excited about this post. DID YOU KNOW that Old Navy has incredibly adorable, comfortable, *affordable* fashion finds? I’m not just talking about a one-off pair of pants or a random cute dress in their Spring collection. I’m talking about the GRAND majority of the entire store is full of adorable finds that won’t break the bank. I am SMITTEN with Old Navy right now!
As a kid, my experience with Old Navy revolved around their pajama bottoms and their annual 4th of July t-shirts. It was a tradition that each Fall, my Mom would take her three daughters in for a new pair of cozy PJ bottoms and then each Summer, she’d bring us in for our annual patriotic T. LITTLE DID I KNOW that the current Old Navy scope of awesomeness extends FAR beyond PJ’s and flag shirts.
Every single piece of clothing (plus jewelry …minus my wedding/Aggie rings) you can see in these photos is from Old Navy.
Let’s talk about this jacket. I have been on the HUNT for a camo green casual jacket for months. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I found this one at Old Navy for 1/3 the price of others! It’s high-quality and the perfect new piece for my Spring wardrobe. I’ve worn it dozens of times. It goes great with jeans (of any color) and can offer a stylish way to accent a sleeveless dress while the temperatures are still a little cool!
Now, let’s talk about these blue jeans. These blue jeans BLEW me the heck away! I have to admit that I had low expectations for these jeans. I placed an order because I wanted to see, on the off chance, if these affordable skinnies somehow met my (admittedly smug) blue jean standards. I ALSO placed an order for 4 *other* pairs of skinny jeans (similar styles) all from different stores at that exact same time. I would end up returning every single pair of jeans EXCEPT for these Old Navy jeans! You guys, I couldn’t believe it. They’re comfortable, stylish, and so flattering! I want a pair in every color …which is more possible now, because I’m saving so much!
This peplum top is a fun/flattering touch, these comfortable coral ballet flats the perfect Spring accent, these sun glasses are impressively high-quality, turquoise earrings the perfect shade of blue/green, and this bag is the perfect size with just the right amount of creative detail.
Can you tell I’m a fan? NO this is not a sponsored post, I’m just a customer who’s head-over-heels in love.
I’m so in love, I created two different shopping widgets for you. The first widget includes links to the exact pieces I’m wearing here (with a couple options for the peplum top, because the original striped version is sold out). The second widget includes links to all of the OTHER Old Navy finds that I love! I hope it helps to give you some fun budget-friendly inspiration while you brighten up your Spring wardrobe.
MY PLANNER: I have gotten a LOT of questions about my day planner! I went on the hunt a few months ago for a planner that could help me organize my day by the hour. I asked for your suggestions on Snapchat and received several wonderful tips! After some digging, I settled on this Simplified Planner (specifically, the “Gold Pineapple” one) by Emily Ley and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It’s *exactly* what I wanted. Each day has a dedicated page with an hourly breakdown so that I can schedule my day (appointments + personal projects) with ease. It also includes a section for “to-do’s,” what’s for dinner (obviously that’s important to me), and other notes. I use it daily and can honestly say that it has made a huge difference in my productivity, efficiency, and stress while I tackle a richly-scheduled calendar. If you’re looking for a planner, I HIGHLY recommend this one. They’re even on sale right now!
In addition to my beloved Simplified Planner, I also purchased (and have been loving) the Meal Plan Notepad, the To Do Notepad, this magnetic Page Marker (makes flipping to the right page on my planner a breeze), and this Washi Tape Set (which I use to tape my meal plan/to-do sheets to my fridge each week). I seriously LOVE it all!
