Welcome to the New Fed and Fit!

Each month moving forward, you can expect a letter from the editor (that’s me!) where I’ll tell you about what’s in store for the month, and what I’m most looking forward to. First things first, we’re starting off August with a BRAND NEW site! I am thrilled to finally unveil what we’ve been working on for so long.

 

What to Look Forward To

When I think of August I think of the annual summer slump. That time of year where it feels too hot to do anything and everything just slows down before we head back into the swing of things for September. To help combat that feeling, we’ve focused this month’s content to keep you inspired through the rest of summer!

What to Expect from the New Site

  1. Faster performance – You should notice an increase in speed – no more sitting around waiting for the site load!
  2. Easier search – We’ve been making content for 8 years now, which means there’s a whole lot of resources on this site! Now, you’ll be able to easily find what you need by clicking the search bar at the top of the page, or heading over to our new-and-improved recipe index.
  3. A new print recipe function – We’ve updated our recipe cards and made it easy for you to print recipes easily!
  4. Jump to recipe button – If you want to get straight to the recipe and skip the scroll, we’ve made it easy for you with a jump to recipe button at the top of each recipe post!
  5. Clickable recipe key – You’ll find our recipe key all over the site! This makes it easy to search for recipes by special diet or cooking method. If you want to drill down even further, head to the recipe index where you can search by meal type and ingredients, too!
  6. New video page – Head to our video page to catch my latest cooking demos and tv appearances!
  7. Downloads library – Looking for your Cook Once, Eat All Week shopping lists, journal templates, or inspiration from our other resources like our Meal Prep Breakfasts eBook or our Instant Pot Recipes eBook? You can now find them all in one place in our downloads library!
  8. Shop Page – This is one of my favorites! Here you can find all of our favorite product recommendations from food, to kitchen equipment, to beauty.

You’ll also notice that while you’ll still get new recipes each month, we’ll also be adding more wellness, fitness, home, style, and travel-related content to help you in your healthy lifestyle goals!

 

What I’m Loving Right Now

  1. Mango Waterloo Sparkling – I can’t get enough of this stuff right now, it is the perfect refreshing drink on a hot day!
  2. Primal Kitchen Foods BBQ Ranch – We are going through bottles of this like nobody’s business because my husband keeps requesting it! It’s perfect for dipping fries, topping a burger, and marinating salmon. You’d be hard pressed to find something it didn’t make more delicious!
  3. Beautycounter Countersun Tinted Sunscreen Mist – I used this while we were on vacation in the Bahamas and not only did it protect me from the sun, it also gave me an extra glow and made me feel like I was airbrushed – yes, please! I’d recommend wearing with a dark swimsuit so nothing gets stained.
