Perfectly-roasted asparagus is topped with a buttery lemon cardamom sauce for a side dish that is easy enough for a weeknight but impressive enough for company!

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 F.
  2. Place asparagus in a single layer on a rimmed sheet pan and toss with the olive oil, salt, and pepper. Cook for 25 minutes, until asparagus is browned.
  3. Add all of the ingredients for the sauce to a small bowl and whisk thoroughly to combine until no lumps remain.*
  4. Pour the sauce over the asparagus, then garnish with black sesame seeds and serve!
