These sauteed green beans are the perfect simple side dish that comes out perfect every time!

  • 1 pound green beans
  • 1 tablespoon butter or extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  1. Fill a large skillet with matching lid 1/4 cup water and bring the water to boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, add the green beans, then cover and cook for 2-3 minutes until the beans are bright green and most of the water has evaporated.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium, then remove the lid from the pot, drain any excess water, and add the butter, salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
  3. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned, then toss with the lemon juice and serve.

  • For Low-FODMAP: leave out the garlic powder. You can use garlic-infused extra-virgin olive oil in its place if you’d like!
