Running without music can be like Texas Country without beer, a starry night without the wind, and frozen yogurt without dark chocolate chips and raspberries.

Sure, sometimes I will throw in the occasional run sans music for a refreshing silent twist. However, when the perfect song shuffles into play, it can push you through an uphill, help you appreciate the view, and maybe even put on a little air drum show for the passerby’s.

Below are a few of my current favorites:

1 – Mat Kearny: Ships in the Night

2 – Walk the Moon: Anna Sun

3 – B.o.B: Strange Clouds (feat. Lil Wayne)

I hope you all enjoy this portion of my entries as much as I enjoy researching and writing about it.

Now, go eat some pavement!

  1. All, just be very careful running outside with the headphones. Inside, no problem, outside, you may want to keep an ear or two clear for cars, dogs, and stalkers. OK, so for inside running, you may want to add some Twisted Sister to your playlist. ‘I want to Rock’ and ‘We’re not Gonna Take it are my Favorites’. As far as albums, you can’t go wrong running to the Rocky soundtrack!
