Baked Potato in Oven Recipe

These oven-baked potatoes are perfect for stuffing or for having as a simple side!

Ingredients

  • 4 russet potatoes medium-sized
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of coarse or flaky sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  • Rub the potatoes with the olive oil, place them on a sheet pan, and then sprinkle them with the coarse sea salt.
  • Bake the potatoes for 60-75 minutes, until the skin is crisp and the potatoes can be easily pierced with a fork.

Notes

I haven't personally experienced a potato exploding while baking in the oven, but if you have (or if this is of concern to you), feel free to poke holes in your potatoes before popping them into the oven!
