How to Make a Grilled Cheese Sandwich

This classic grilled cheese recipe is delicious on its own or as a base to fancy up any grilled cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread of choice
  • 1 tablespoon butter softened
  • 1 slice cheese

Instructions

  • Heat a skillet on the stove over medium to medium-low heat.
  • Take two slices of bread and butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet on the stove. Layer the cheese (and optional additional fillings) on the bread, then place the second slice of bread buttered side up on top of the cheese.
  • Cook your sandwich for 5-7 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and toasted, then flip and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes on the other side until golden brown.
  • Serve and enjoy!
