Homemade Grain-Free Puppy Treats

In honor of my best friend, here are some homemade treats!
Prep Time5 minutes
Total Time5 minutes
Course: Snack
Cuisine: American
Servings: 200 treats
Author: Cassy

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Petburger may substitute with lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup brewer's yeast
  • 1/3 cup ground flax seed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300 F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  • In a food processor, mix the Petburger and brewer’s yeast together.
  • Pat the mixture down into the baking sheet into one thin layer {about ¼” thick}.
  • Lightly dust the top with the ground flax seed and then press it down into the meat.
  • Bake at 300 F for approximately 35 minutes, or until brown and slightly crispy.
  • Let it cool completely and then cut into squares that fit your puppy!
  • I recommend portioning off the finished treats into weekly batches. Keep batches frozen and then thaw just before use to ensure freshness!
