The Best Pineapple Margarita

This pineapple margarita is equal parts tart and sweet, and is the perfect refreshing beverage for the summer months!

Ingredients

For a pineapple margarita on the rocks:

  • ½ cup tequila
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • ½ cup pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar optional
  • Pineapple wedges for serving
  • Chili lime salt for dipping the pineapple in

For a frozen pineapple margarita:

  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 3 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar optional
  • Pineapple wedges for serving
  • Chili lime salt for dipping the pineapple in

Instructions

For a pineapple margarita on the rocks:

  • Add the ingredients to a cocktail shaker or mason jar and stir or shake to combine, then pour into glasses over ice. Garnish with a chili-lime salt-dipped pineapple wedge. 

For a frozen pineapple margarita:

  • Add the ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. Use up to a 1/4 cup of water to thin the margarita if needed. Garnish with a chili-lime salt-dipped pineapple wedge.

Notes

This recipe is written for 2 servings, but here's how to scale it to serve more:
    • For 4 servings: 1 cup tequila + 1/2 cup lime juice + 1 cup pineapple juice + 2 tablespoons agave
    • For 8 servings: 2 cups tequila + 1 cup lime juice + 2 cups pineapple juice + 1/4 cup agave
    • For 12 servings: 3 cups tequila + 1 1/2 cups lime juice + 3 cups pineapple juice + 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons agave
    • For 16 servings: 4 cups tequila + 2 cups lime juice + 4 cups pineapple juice + 1/2 cup agave
