Lemon Pepper Wings in Air Fryer

Besides being absolutely delicious, these crispy lemon pepper chicken wings are super quick to make thanks to the air fryer!

Ingredients

  • 1.5-2 pounds chicken wings
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 ½ tablespoons butter melted
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice - the juice from about a ¼ of a large lemon
  • ½ tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon hot pepper sauce like Frank’s Red Hot, optional

Instructions

  • If your air fryer requires it (some do, some don’t), go ahead and preheat it to 400°F.
  • Pat the wings dry and season them with salt and pepper.
  • Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket pretty-side up, being careful not to overlap them (work in batches if needed!) and cook at 400°F for 10 minutes.
  • Once the 10 minutes are up, flip the wings and let them cook for another 10 minutes.
  • To give the wings an extra crisp, flip them one more time (so that the pretty-side is face-up again) and air fry for 5 more minutes.
  • While the wings are in the air fryer, add the melted butter, lemon juice, honey, lemon pepper seasoning, and (optional) hot pepper sauce to a large bowl and whisk until combined. Note: the bowl will seem way too big for the amount of sauce you’re making, but using a large bowl now will keep you from having more dirty dishes later!
  • Once the wings are out of the air fryer, add them to the large bowl of sauce, and toss the wings in the sauce until fully coated!
  • Serve and enjoy!
