Bacon Wrapped Goat Cheese Stuffed Figs

This fig recipe is my go-to appetizer. I’ve experimented with a few variations and am confident that I’ve concocted the most fabulous recipe sure to knock your guests’ socks off.

Ingredients

  • 12 fresh black figs
  • 12 slices pre-cooked bacon
  • 1/4 cup fresh soft goat cheese
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • Toothpicks for anchoring.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375.
  • Line a metal baking sheet with aluminum foil (makes for zero cleanup!)
  • Wash your figs and pat dry.
  • Cut the tops of your figs off.
  • Cut an X into the top of the fig – going about halfway down the length of the fig.
  • Spoon approximately 1 tsp goat cheese into each fig.
  • Wrap one piece of bacon around each fig. Secure with a toothpick.
  • Drizzle each fig with approximately ½ tsp honey and ½ tsp balsamic vinegar.
  • Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
  • Plate and enjoy!
