I’d say about 80% of my salad recipes are beautiful accidents. I open my fridge, pull out what will soon expire, and make it work. I discovered this dish by accident but thought it was so delicious that I find myself grocery shopping just to make it.
I crisp spicy salami and sprinkle it over a bed of mixed baby greens and purple onion. The dressing is a unique combination of spicy hummus thinned with lemon juice.
Happy unique salad making!
Ingredients
- 3 oz spicy salami
- 4 cups mixed baby greens
- 1/8 cup sliced red onion
- 1 tablespoon spicy hummus
- juice of 1 large lemon
Instructions
- Cut the salami into bite-sized pieces and heat until crispy on a medium sized skillet.
- Whisk the hummus and lemon juice together.Pour the dressing over the mixed greens, onion, and salami.Enjoy!

I tried clicking on the “print” button, but all that came out was paper, not this FABULOUS looking salad. They really need to work on that feature 🙂 I am loving your blog; such beautiful photos and inspiring recipes. Thank you so much for sharing with us! Happy cooking!
