Welcome to our “Get to Know” series! Each Tuesday (for the next year), we’re going to introduce you to a creator in the wellness space that we think you NEED to know. The creators we feature are of various backgrounds. Whether they’re an online content creator, coach, or owner of a product-based brand, they each have their own niche in the wellness world and contribute to the space, as a whole, in an incredibly meaningful way. We’re setting this up Q&A-style so that you can learn more about each creator’s why, the content that they’re most proud of, and exactly how you can be a part of and contribute to their journey. We hope you enjoy our conversations with these wonderful people and brands. We know they’re going to enrich your lives!

This week, we’re interviewing Dani of Sweet & Sorrel. Dani’s recipes are inspired by her Caribbean background and are often tied to her best memories with family and friends! Follow along as we learn more about Dani:

Why did you start your business?

Dani: I started Sweet & Sorrel because for me, food is a way of creating memories. I wanted a space to store up all the amazing memories from my Caribbean upbringing and share them with others in recipe form.

What’s your mission/purpose statement?

Dani: My life mission is to live intentionally and with purpose. I try to bring this same mindset to my blog.

What 2 (or 3!) pieces of content are you the proudest of?

Dani: Hmm, I love everything I create, so it’s hard to pick! I’d say my favorites are my Baked Jerk Chicken Recipe (because everyone who visits the blog loves it so much!) and my No Churn Rum & Raisin Ice Cream (because I never thought I could make my own ice cream!).

Where are you going next? What’s your goal for the next year?

Dani: I hope to continue to work on new delicious recipes for the blog, and improve my photography skills! I feel like I am finally getting the hang of food photography and I am so excited to learn more.

How can we (and the Fed and Fit community) best support you?

Dani: By following Sweet & Sorrel, trying my recipes, and sharing ideas for the blog! I always love to engage with visitors to the blog.
