Welcome to our “Get to Know” series! Each Tuesday (for the next year), we’re going to introduce you to a creator in the wellness space that we think you NEED to know. The creators we feature are of various backgrounds. Whether they’re an online content creator, coach, or owner of a product-based brand, they each have their own niche in the wellness world and contribute to the space, as a whole, in an incredibly meaningful way. We’re setting this up Q&A-style so that you can learn more about each creator’s why, the content that they’re most proud of, and exactly how you can be a part of and contribute to their journey. We hope you enjoy our conversations with these wonderful people and brands. We know they’re going to enrich your lives!

This week, we’re interviewing Isabel of Isabel Eats. On Isabel’s website, “you’ll find a mix of all your favorite authentic Mexican recipes as well as Mexican-inspired dishes with a twist!” Follow along as we learn more about Isabel of Isabel Eats:

Why did you start your business?

Isabel: I started Isabel Eats as a way to stay connected to my family and my Mexican culture when I was living far from home. It’s become such a fun place for me to document my family’s recipes as well as share and celebrate all types of Mexican and Mexican-inspired food with people around the world.

What’s your mission/purpose statement?

Isabel: Make traditional and Mexican-inspired recipes accessible to everyone, and educate others about Mexican culture and the role food and family play in it.

What 2 (or 3!) pieces of content are you the proudest of?

Isabel: My Green Chicken Tamales and Red Pork Tamales recipes! Tamales are a huge celebratory dish that my family makes a few times a year, especially for Christmas and New Years. Last year I finally took on the task of following my Mom around the kitchen while she made tamales and I had her measure everything out so I could write down the family recipe. I’m so happy to have the recipe documented not only for my future children, but also for everyone online!

And my Easy Chicken Tacos. This is one of those weeknight dinner gems that I’ve made over and over again, and still can’t get enough of! The quick marinade is incredibly flavorful and everyone loves it!

Where are you going next? What’s your goal for the next year?

Isabel: My goal for next year is to expand my team and hire someone full-time to help me continue to grow Isabel Eats! I have so many ideas and projects that I’ve wanted to tackle but haven’t because of time constraints. Hiring someone to help take over certain tasks would allow me to really focus on what I do best and bring even more helpful and delicious recipes to my readers.

How can we (and the Fed and Fit community) best support you?

Isabel: Following me on Instagram and engaging with my posts whenever you see something you like is the best way to support Isabel Eats! Instagram is where I spend a lot of my time when it comes to social media, so I’d love for you to join me there!
