Welcome to our “Get to Know” series! Each Tuesday (for the next year), we’re going to introduce you to a creator in the wellness space that we think you NEED to know. The creators we feature are of various backgrounds. Whether they’re an online content creator, coach, or owner of a product-based brand, they each have their own niche in the wellness world and contribute to the space, as a whole, in an incredibly meaningful way. We’re setting this up Q&A-style so that you can learn more about each creator’s why, the content that they’re most proud of, and exactly how you can be a part of and contribute to their journey. We hope you enjoy our conversations with these wonderful people and brands. We know they’re going to enrich your lives!

This week, we’re interviewing Kenika Williams of Tided by K. Kenika said, “I’ve always had a natural passion and appreciation for organization and structure, especially in home settings. However, it took years to transform this passion into my career. My journey has passed through a handful of career paths, from teaching to finance to data, but I’ve truly found my calling within the organizing industry!” Follow along as we learn more about Kenika:

Why did you start your business?

Kenika: Initially, I started my business as a side hustle to pay off debt and do something I enjoyed. It quickly turned into something more than that for me as I started to work with clients and really see the impact I was having in my client’s lives. Now, I run my business to transform how my clients feel about their homes and help create spaces that are conducive to happy and productive living.

What’s your mission/purpose statement?

Kenika: My mission is to help families live more productive and happy lives at home through organization. I want to serve thousands of families by helping them to create functional and beautiful home systems that will withstand the test of time.

What 2 (or 3!) pieces of content are you the proudest of?

Kenika:

  • I was recently given the opportunity to share tips on how to have a stress free move on the Drew Barrymore show. That was a pretty surreal experience!
  • The most exciting part of my job when working to organize my client’s homes is the reveal. This reveal is one of my absolute faves. Happy reactions literally light me up.
  • This post pretty much sums it all up for me. My journey, my growth, the passion I have for the work that I do, and my process. I love this work, and I’m extremely grateful I made a decision that I love opposed to chasing after what I thought success had to look like.

Where are you going next? What’s your goal for the next year?

Kenika: Whew! This is a loaded question! So many things are on the horizon for Tidied by K. Within the year I would love to partner with home and lifestyle brands to share my message about home organization and productivity and how both lend themselves to living happier lives.

How can we (and the Fed and Fit community) best support you?

Kenika: Please give me a follow on IG and snag my free resource! It’s a guide that walks you through how to declutter any space in your home. The Power of 30 Guide is amazing for those looking to edit their home, but need a little guidance to get it done!
