Welcome to our โGet to Knowโ series! Each Tuesday (for the next year), weโre going to introduce you to a creator in the wellness space that we think you NEED to know. The creators we feature are of various backgrounds. Whether theyโre an online content creator, coach, or owner of a product-based brand, they each have their own niche in the wellness world and contribute to the space, as a whole, in an incredibly meaningful way. Weโre setting this up Q&A-style so that you can learn more about each creatorโs why, the content that theyโre most proud of, and exactly how you can be a part of and contribute to their journey. We hope you enjoy our conversations with these wonderful people and brands. We know theyโre going to enrich your lives!
This week, weโre interviewing Michelle Braxton of Supper with Michelle. Michelle said that her biggest goal โhas been to show and inspire people how to work more veggie filled meals into their everyday lifestyles.โ Follow along as we learn more about Michelle:
Why did you start your business?
Michelle: I started Supper with Michelle back in 2014, after a lot of encouragement from friends and family. I would share dishes that I created via Facebook and to my surprise, they started asking for the recipes. After that, I knew I needed a place to share those recipes.
Whatโs your mission/purpose statement?
Michelle: To be fully transparent, Iโve never written out a mission statement for Supper with Michelle. However, my biggest goal has been to show and inspire people how to work more veggie filled meals into their everyday lifestyles.
What 2 (or 3!) pieces of content are you the proudest of?
Michelle: Quite frankly, in retrospect, I never could have imagined that Supper with Michelle would be what it is today. It and I have evolved so much and Iโm extremely proud of that. But to answer your question, earlier this year, actress Jenna Fischer cooked my Vegetarian Zuppa Toscana Soup on her Instagram Feed, which tickled me sooo much. Needless to say, that is a very popular recipe on my blog along with so many others.
If you donโt know this about me already, soup is a love of mine. If you love soup like me, then youโve come to the right place.
A few others that are blog favorites and that I recommend adding to your weekly meal plan are:
- Vegetable Ramen Noodle Soup – I love this soup because you can truly make it your own with whatever veggies you have on hand.
- Creamy Sun-dried Tomato and Spinach Ravioli โ This easy but delicious dish is a great date night meal or dinner and a salad kind of meal. So good!
Where are you going next? Whatโs your goal for the next year?
Michelle: My goal for the future is to continue to grow Supper with Michelle and connect and engage with more people and also do more in the community that I live in. I also want to continue to network and build the relationships that Iโve made with so many amazing brands and companies.
I canโt quite speak on the big project(s) that I have planned for the coming year, but I am truly excited about what is to come. Youโll just need to stay tuned!
How can we (and the Fed and Fit community) best support you?
Michelle: You can support Supper with Michelle by not only following along on Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook, but also by engaging my posts when you see something you like! I absolutely love it when readers create my recipes! Take pictures of your delicious creations, post them, and tag me when you do so I can see your beautiful dishes! Also leave your review on the blog because your feedback is soooo important! Share my recipes with your friends and family and inspire others to eat more veggie filled meals! Word of mouth is powerful! Lastly, I would love for you to subscribe to my blog posts at supperwithmichelle.com, so youโre first to see whatโs new on the blog!
