These Rolo pretzel candies are unbelievable, y’all! If you’re a fan of Rolo candies (I am!), then you’ve got to give these a try. The addition of the salty, crunchy pretzels really takes this classic chocolate caramel candy to the next level.
While these Rolo pretzels are fantastic for ANY time of year, they’re especially perfect for homemade holiday cookie boxes. They’re the perfect delicious filler to snuggle beside an assortment of cookies and other yummy holiday treats.
Ingredients You’ll Need
This semi-homemade candy recipe calls for two ingredients! Here’s what you’ll need:
- Rolos – you’ll need one Rolo for each candy that you plan to make.
- Pretzels – in addition to the Rolos, you’ll also need a bag of pretzels (we use THESE for gluten-free). Two pretzels for every Rolo candy will do the trick!
How to Make Rolo Pretzels
To make your easy Rolo pretzel candies, you’ll need to…
- Preheat the oven – preheat the oven to 250°F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Add the pretzels to the sheet pan – lay HALF of the pretzels out on the sheet pan. The number of pretzels that you lay out on the sheet pan will equate to the number of candies you end up with.
- Top with Rolos – top each pretzel with a Rolo candy.
- Add to oven – add the sheet pan to the oven for 3 minutes, until the Rolos are softened.
- Top with pretzels – once the sheet pan is out of the oven, top each pretzel/Rolo duo with a second pretzel, and press down to squish the Rolo in between the two pretzels.
- Let cool and enjoy!
Rolo Pretzel Variations
There are a TON of options when it comes to these cutie sweet treats. Here are a few of our favorites:
- Top with a pecan – ditch the pretzel topper and press a pecan on top of the softened Rolo instead.
- Top with an M&M – for some extra chocolate, crunch, and color, top each softened Rolo with an M&M instead of a pretzel.
- Drizzle with white chocolate – drizzle the pretzel sandwiched Rolo with white chocolate, and if you’re feeling really festive, a shake or two of sprinkles! These are our favorite every day option & these are our favorite holiday option!
How to Store Rolo Pretzels
Store your Rolo pretzel candies on the counter for 2-3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. If you’re looking for a longer-term storage option, you can absolutely make these a month or two in advance and freeze them!

Perfect and easy! I am bringing these to book club. I made 2 batches 1 with just pretzels and 1 with pecans that I roasted. Very tasty.
Aren’t they the easiest! So glad that this was perfect for your book club. The addition of a roasted pecan – genius! -Team FF
