A wise long-time family friend and mentor once said, “go ugly early.” His name is Tom and he’s a brilliant businessman. Tom has been the ever dependable, motivating shoulder angel whispering you to embrace a hot idea and then stay close to a heat source, as hot ideas tend to cool off if you don’t give them any attention.

Food and fitness have always been a hobby of mine – a secret obsession even. I experiment tirelessly with different recipes, fitness avenues, and ways to reach out to my community. It wasn’t until recently that it dawned on me, a blog! A blog would be a perfect way to share my adventures and obsessive research! After an always-too-rare conversation with Tom, he instructed me to stay close to a heat source and don’t be afraid of going ugly early. Whelp, here we go. It’s early, it’s a little ugly, but I’m going for it!

I’ve been working on building my own library of recipes and photographs so that I have plenty of material. Tomorrow, I will post my first recipe. For now, I will leave you with a few photos to give you a taste of what is to come.

I hope you find my musings entertaining and helpful. I’m VERY open to comments and feedback – so don’t be shy. I am writing this for you. I want to help you. If there’s something you’d like me to research, experiment with, and post about, please let me know – I’m thrilled to do it.

Thank you for reading.

Here’s to many more! 🙂

  3. Cassy…I’m really interested in hearing more about different chicken finger reviews around the San Antonio area. Is there any way you could add this feature to your blog?

    1. Funny you ask! I happen to know a chicken finger expert. I will have a guest blog on that subject soon 🙂

  4. Congratulations, Cassy, on “cutting the ribbon” on this new, incredible endeavor! There is so much to look forward to and learn. I can’t wait! 🙂
