Welcome to our “Get to Know” series! Each Tuesday (for the next year), we’re going to introduce you to a creator in the wellness space that we think you NEED to know. The creators we feature are of various backgrounds. Whether they’re an online content creator, coach, or owner of a product-based brand, they each have their own niche in the wellness world and contribute to the space, as a whole, in an incredibly meaningful way. We’re setting this up Q&A-style so that you can learn more about each creator’s why, the content that they’re most proud of, and exactly how you can be a part of and contribute to their journey. We hope you enjoy our conversations with these wonderful people and brands. We know they’re going to enrich your lives!

This week, we’re interviewing Ashley of Pink Owl Kitchen. Ashley has a deep passion for bringing people together through food and finds intense joy in “creating delicious meals that bring my loved ones together.” Follow along as we learn more about Ashley:

Why did you start your business?

Ashley: I started Pink Owl Kitchen because I’ve always felt like a caged bird working in corporate America and as if I had no creative outlet. Cooking is how I express my love for people and is what makes me feel whole. I’ve overcome so much adversity in life and felt like I was cheating myself by not taking a chance and pursuing what makes me happy.  With the support of my husband, I decided to create Pink Owl Kitchen and share with others in the way I feel I’m meant to give back to the world – bringing people together through delicious food!

What’s your mission/purpose statement?

Ashley: My mission is to inspire creativity, love and togetherness in this divided world, one recipe at a time.

What 2 (or 3!) pieces of content are you the proudest of?

Ashley: Hmmm…I’d say I’m most proud of my Blackened Catfish and Smoked Gouda Grits, my Caramel Cheesecake Layer Cake and my Strawberry Buttermilk Biscuits.

Where are you going next? What’s your goal for the next year?

Ashley: My goal is to leave my corporate job within the next twelve months and run Pink Owl Kitchen full-time. I plan on continuing to grow Pink Owl Kitchen’s online presence and investing in making my brand better and better! I’d love to land a cookbook deal within that time as well.

How can we (and the Fed and Fit community) best support you?

Ashley: If Fed and Fit readers could check out my recipes on Pinkowlkitchen.com, sign up for my newsletter and/or follow me on Instagram, I’d be so grateful!
