Today’s post is about my wavy hair tutorial! I’m sharing my method, the products I use, and how I get the style to last for days.
Let’s talk safer skincare, my friends! As you know I’m a BIG fan of a few brands moving virtual mountains to help get safer products into the hands of everyone. Without going too far into the weeds here, remember to check out my previous Beauty Posts for more details. The two brand that I know/trust the most are Primally Pure (for a natural line) and Beautycounter (for high-performing skincare + cosmetics that are TRIPLE-tested for toxins and heavy metals, to name a few).
Today we’re chatting about my wavy hair tutorial! At LONG LAST, I’m so thrilled to bring you this video. In an nutshell, I use a products across several brands and then use a curling iron *like* a wand. SURE a wand would work great, this is just what I use. I hope you enjoy this tutorial!
Here are the products used in today’s video:
- Volume & Shape Volumizing Mist by Beautycounter
- Boar Bristle Brush
- Babyliss Pro Hair Dryer
- Color Proof Hard Core Hairspray
- Dry Shampoo for Dark Locks by Primally Pure
- Conair Infiniti Pro 1″ Ceramic Curling Iron
Now that the Smooth & Control shampoo is discontinued – what do you use?

Hi!
Thank you for sharing these helpful tips. In this video your hair looks beautiful and came out great but I noticed it doesn’t look the same as it does in your current IG stories ( which I adore). I would love to achieve a style like that ( your wavy hair on your current IG stories) on my own hair. Can you please share if there is a difference & what that is or perhaps I am mistaken and you can disregard this 🙂
Hi Donelle! Typically in Cassy’s IG stories her hair has been curled for a few days between washes, so it tends to get more relaxed as time goes on. Also, she’s been using this 1 inch curling iron for the past few months!
Do you wash your hair with shampoo Nd conditioner or is it it wet?
