Step 2: Add the butter and pulse the food processor until the graham cracker crust comes together in a flaky, slightly-crumbly dough.

Step 3: Spoon the dough into a pie pan. Working the dough along the bottom of the pan and up along the sides, form an even 1/4-inch-thick crust with your hands. If pieces of the crust feel too crumbly, remix until it holds together.

Step 4: Fill crust with a filling of choice and bake or refrigerate according to your recipe’s instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Graham Cracker Pie Crusts Need to be Baked?

Some pie crust recipes do call for the crust to be baked. But there’s no need to turn on your oven to make our easy, fuss-free version! You can fill the crust with your pie filling of choice and eat right away, or refrigerate it if the filling needs time to set.

How Do You Keep a Graham Cracker Crust From Falling Apart?

If your crust doesn’t stay together when pressed, it’s probably because there isn’t enough binder (in this case, that’s the butter). You can try adding butter a tablespoon at a time until the mixture comes together, and then refrigerate until firmed up.

What Are the Best Gluten-Free Graham Crackers?

These Kinnikinnick S’moreables graham crackers are our very favorite gluten-free graham crackers. They have the flavor and texture of regular graham crackers and always play the “graham cracker” role perfectly in our recipes!
